Welcome to
IGCSESUCCESS!
Hi!
I'm a Secondary English teacher and Middle Leader – but more importantly, I'm someone who absolutely loves helping students navigate the often dark and murky waters of IGCSE English. I like to think I've developed quite the knack for keeping heads above water and guiding students toward the grades they truly deserve.
I've been teaching English Language and Literature across KS3–KS5 for over a decade, and it continues to be one of the most fulfilling parts of my life – and do you know what? I wouldn't have it any other way! There's something undeniably rewarding about seeing a student go from "Sir, I really don't get it…" and on the brink of giving up to "Sir, I think I've nailed it!"
Being part of that shift never gets old.
IGCSESUCCESS started as a YouTube channel I created for my Year 11s during the… Well, you know what! Back then, it was just me uploading walkthroughs and resources to help them make it through exam season and over the finish line. Fast-forward a few years, and it's now a growing community of over 80,000 students, teachers, and parents!
And now, here we are – my own little corner of the internet: a hub of tips, tools, and support to help students from all over the world feel more confident tackling IGCSE English.
So whether you're studying First Language English, Literature in English, or English as a Second Language, you'll find everything you need right here. This is your one-stop shop for everything IGCSE English.
Have a browse – and welcome to the IG Fam!

Hey sir I just wanted to thank you for your help. I somehow got an E in AS Level English last year in October, but thanks to your help I achieved an A (83) at 0500 this year in May. Thanks to your videos I have a serious shot at med school in my home country, so I just wanted to leave a comment to say how genuinely thankful I am.

My son got a 9. As a home educating mum your channel was a huge help. We watched your videos and Live sessions. I don't think we could have done it without you.
@s.y.4968
I got 93%!
@abigailscreativeworld
I got an A* in English as a first language!! Thank you goat!! And God!!!
@baldchrollo
Just want to say a giant thank you! Your videos really helped my daughter get the grade she needed to get onto her chosen course at college this September! Your explanations of how each section of the exams worked made all the difference!
@ktbreathingin
Thank you so much for all the help you've given us for English!
@tanishqtomar7235
My students obtained A* :) Hooray!
@mylife5237
Hi Sir! I got an A* in FLE!! (something I did not expect at all considering I messed up my narrative writing a bit) But in the end it turned out really well, and I'm so glad! Thank you so much for all the amazing lectures out there, which have helped so many students like me score at the top :)
@soh_tar
Thank you so much IGCSE Success. I really thought I was absolutely cooked when I exited the exam hall, but I just managed to get A*! Without you and GingerMathematician's videos, I would be getting Bs. Most direct 0500 videos on YouTube!
@PeanutDesert449
Got an A* in EFL with Grade One in speaking! Your YouTube videos were so helpful! Thank you so much.
@KateeeBeth
I just wanted to thank you sir — your videos made a huge difference in my English preparation. My grade for mocks was a C, and I was really struggling (almost to the point I felt like giving up), but with your guidance and videos I improved significantly and managed to get an A*. I'm extremely grateful for your help. Thank you.
@YashOjha7
I prepared for IGCSE First Language English only through your videos and got an A* today. Thanks a lot sir, really grateful to you!
@mohidahmed965
Got 6 A's in total. My teacher sent a predicted grade of B for English FLE (0500), but proved her wrong and got an A. Trust me, if I did not see your videos it wouldn't have been possible to get an A.
@VoidsValorant
Sir, I got an A* in O Level English as a Second Language, and thank you because your videos were sooooo helpful.
@nosheenrahbar7938
Thanks be to God I got an A* in FLE. I cannot thank you enough for all the times you saved me during the exam.
@udkmoi
GOT AN A* IN ENGLISH AND I'M OVER THE MOON!! Binging your videos, pausing them to make notes is exactly why I'm here today!! You have no idea how much you have done for me. Maybe one day, I can thank you in person somehow (manifesting).
@existing5424
Thank you SO much Sir! I got an A...
@mixed-math8216
I got A* and it's all thanks to you sir. My marks used to be so bad I even got an E once. Watching your videos to revise last minute got me to A*! Even though I can't use your videos anymore I'm staying subbed! Thank you so much.
@durr2740
I just got a 9 in my English Language having been a predicted 6 two weeks before the exam… This is purely based on your videos and reading the mark scheme. I can't thank you enough!
@edrichseibert
THANK YOU SO MUCH! I'm really happy with my grade, I've always dreamt of that, and your videos were a very big part of my success. Thank you again!
