Website Launching Soon!
Hi!
Welcome to the very first IGCSESUCCESS blog post! It feels a little surreal finally writing this after months of working away behind the scenes. A small confession: I'm writing this (and probably a good few more!) long before the website actually launches. So right now, I'm essentially talking to an empty room. If you're reading this, either the launch went well... or, uhh, you've somehow broken in early; either way, welcome to IGCSESUCCESS' little corner of the internet!
I'm pretty sure I started planning this well over a year ago; I even posted teasers on my YouTube channel. Long story short: a version of the site did exist at one point, but I wasn't happy with it, so I shelved it. It had started to feel like just another site hiding everything behind a paywall, and that's really not what I'm about. Yes, there are Pro Resources here, but the free content alone should genuinely be enough to help you succeed; the premium stuff is just extra practice (with a bit more of my blood, sweat, and tears behind it).
I also wanted IGCSESUCCESS to have a real community feel – somewhere you can actually get involved, rather than just passively consuming content. It took me a while to work out the right direction, but I think I've finally cracked it – woohoo!
The Community tab is my favourite part of the site, and I'm so so excited to see it come to life. You'll find the Wall of Success, where you guys can share your results and stories – whether that's a coveted A* grade, that C grade that will open doors for you in the future, or finally cracking the Writer's Effect question. There'll also be monthly Take Off Challenges (you've probably clocked the aviation theme by now!), some will be short exam-style tasks; others might be a little weird and wonderful. Each month, I'll pick one winner to feature in the Student Spotlight, complete with personalised feedback – a great way to practise your skills and (hopefully) inspire a few others along the way.
Ask Mr P will be a weekly fixture too, where I answer your questions, whether they're sent via email or through YouTube.
There are still a few teething issues to iron out before launch, but we're nearly there. I hope!
